20th Anniversary Celebration March 21, 2009 Paul Sipiera and the PSF Board are proud to announce the anniversary of twenty successful years! In 1988, Mary J. Becker, David L. Lauerman, Raymond Moehrlin, D.A., Meyer Rudoff and Paul P. Sipiera, Ph.D sat down to develop a plan that would fulfill the passions and dreams of five intellectuals and their shared interest in the sciences. Their goal was to establish an organization that would present education to the public and provide the opportunities needed to further science research. In 1989, the Planetary Studies Foundation was born and almost twenty years later, still remains an organization with a strong presence throughout the science world. To celebrate the 20th Anniversary, PSF will host a fundraising dinner on March 21, 2009 at the Poplar Creek Country Club in Hoffman Estates, IL. Astronaut Charles Duke, Jr. of Apollo 16 will present an after-dinner lecture and will be featured as one of the special guests for the evening. Mr. Duke has also confirmed a special presentation of a gift he would like to present to the PSF. Paul Sipiera has lined up two surprise guests from Hollywood to accompany the list of our “regular attending” celebrities that will be in attendance for the night. This will be the fundraising dinner you will not want to miss! Tickets will be available for purchase soon!
